Relationship Property
Hardy-Jones Clark recognises the importance of relationships and will assist in all aspects of Relationship Property law. We help many couples to record their wishes in Relationship Property/Contracting Out Agreements, and provide coincidental advice on establishing asset holding structures for clients and their families.

Resource Management
The Resource Management lawyers at Hardy-Jones Clark have an extensive client base, representing both corporate and private clients, often in respect of aquaculture and viticulture Resource Management issues. We also have considerable experience representing clients seeking consents for land developments including small and large scale land subdivisions and large format retail developments.
We represent clients at both Local Government and Environment Court level. We have strong and effective working relationships with a number of other professionals working in the Resource Management field including Resource Management planners, civil and traffic engineers, and landscape and other experts.
We recognise and understand from experience that significant Resource Management applications will typically require a team approach and we have experience in constructing, managing and working within those team environments.

Rural Law
Rural law is practised by all of our property partners. We provide specialist services to clients throughout Marlborough and in other parts of New Zealand, particularly in the dairy and viticulture industries.
We assist clients with a broad range of legal matters, including land acquisitions and disposals, resource consents, employment, health and safety requirements, statutory compliance, leases and product supply contracts. We have been involved with the establishment of a number of significant irrigation schemes within the Marlborough District and have assisted clients in putting robust legal structures in place in respect of their essential irrigation and water supplies.
We also have considerable experience in advising farming families in respect of succession issues.

Trusts, Wills and Estates
Our teams deal with the making of Wills, the settlement and administration of Family Trusts and the administration of Estates.
We assist our clients in establishing a succession plan to manage wealth and assets during their lifetime and to put in place robust structures for the passage of assets to the next generation.
In modern life, second or subsequent relationships and blended families are a common scenario, and the making of Wills and the completion of succession plans in these situations can require careful thought. Our lawyers have extensive experience in this area and will offer guidance to avoid pitfalls and to enable successful succession plans to be designed and implemented.
The administration of Estates is an area of our practice which we regard as being particularly important. Our lawyers are experienced in assisting families through these difficult times, and deal sensitively with the many aspects of Estate administration.
